I'm Baaaaack
It's been awhile since I've posted. Let's see... in the past year, I had a baby, Lila Rose, moved to a small house in Los Angeles to be closer to family, got my son Gabe settled into a new school, setup new business and household systems, and spent a lot of time with our parents. Yikes! It's been a busy, tough -- but deeply gratifying -- year.
Now that we're settled into our life in LA, I have some time to reflect and blog about what I'm seeing on the social media scene. Everywhere I look, "games meets social media" is happening. We're getting far more consulting requests than we can take on. At long last, computer games have moved beyond the hardcore audience and are truly becoming a mainstream medium.
Here at ShuffleBrain, we're taking all this in, and thinking about what kinds of games we'd most like to create. We're considering taking on several exciting projects... including an original one of our own creation. More on that in another post.
In the meantime - I'll be posting a backlog of great articles that I've run across in the last few months. For starters, here's a list of Social Design Best Practices from the good folks at Google.
Amy - stumbled onto your 2006 presentation via Dave McClure's site. Fascinating stuff! Would love to chat some time. Very interested in your work, and have been circling around in a similar orbit (although not at your level) for a good 10 years or so.
